  • Forest Park is Your Backyard: Over 80 miles of trails within city limits. Get trail shoes and explore — Wildwood Trail is one of the best urban trail runs in America.
  • Rain Gear Pays Off: Portland gets over 140 rainy days per year. Invest in one great waterproof jacket and you'll run comfortably year-round.
  • Smoke Season: August and September can bring wildfire smoke. Check AQI daily and move long runs indoors when it exceeds 100.
