Miami Running Tips

  • Dress for the Humidity, Not Just the Heat: 80°F with 90% humidity is far harder than 90°F in Denver. Wear as little as you're comfortable in and choose moisture-wicking fabrics only.
  • Electrolytes are Non-Negotiable: You lose massive amounts of sodium sweating in Miami's humidity. Carry electrolytes on any run over 45 minutes.
  • Flat but Fast: Miami is completely flat, which is great for marathon training paces. Use the terrain to your advantage during speed workouts.
  • Running Clubs: Track Shack, Miami Runners Club, and various lululemon store runs meet early to beat the heat. Great for motivation and safety.
